AVM Ovation

AVM Ovation is the flagship line from AVM, and its newest generation carries an S, which AVM says stands for Super. The CS 8.3 S was redesigned from the ground up: an all-in-one with a slot-in CD drive, a tube stage, AVM's S-DAC with ESS 9038 PRO converters in a double-quad layout, an MM and MC phono input, and HDMI ARC. The AS 8.3 S streaming integrated, PAS 8.3 S streaming preamplifier and MP 8.3 S CD and media player share that S-DAC and put tubes in the line or output stage.

At the top sits the AS XL, a streaming integrated amplifier rated 2 x 550 watts into 4 ohms and named for the Roman numeral 40, marking AVM's four decades. For separates, the PA 8.3 is a modular analog preamplifier built up from input and output cards, and the PH 8.3 phono stage takes up to four MM or MC input modules. Power amplifiers run from the transistor SA 6.3, MA 6.3 monoblocks and SA 8.3 Lite to the SA 8.3 S and MA 8.3 S, which add an anode-follower tube input stage.
