A monoblock amplifier is a power amplifier built to drive a single channel, so a stereo system uses a matched pair, one per speaker. Isolating each channel in its own chassis and power supply eliminates crosstalk between left and right, doubles the available power supply per channel, and lets each amplifier sit close to its speaker for shorter cable runs. The result is greater channel separation, tighter bass control, and effortless dynamics on demanding loudspeakers, which is why monoblocks sit at the top of most amplifier ranges. For the hardest-to-drive speakers, a pair of monoblocks is the reference approach to power.
This collection spans monoblocks from Audia Flight, Grimm Audio, Kora, Primare, Rogue Audio, THÖRESS, and Unison Research, in tube, solid-state, and hybrid designs. Rogue's M-180 and M-250 Ultra deliver 180 and 250 watts of tube power, while Kora and Primare bring high-current class-A and class-D muscle.
