Wilson Benesch

(8 products)

Since 1989, Wilson Benesch has designed and hand-built every loudspeaker in Sheffield, England, keeping design, engineering, and manufacturing under one roof. This independence enables technologies that cannot be sourced off the shelf, from advanced biocomposite enclosures to state-of-the-art drive units.

Fibonacci Tweeter

The Fibonacci Tweeter is the result of more than a decade of research in materials science, additive manufacturing, and acoustic engineering. At its core is a silk–carbon hybrid dome. Silk provides natural self-damping for fatigue-free treble, while ultra-fine carbon fiber reinforcement maintains pistonic motion up to 30 kHz with minimal added mass. A 3D-printed Fibonacci faceplate applies natural geometric principles to control dispersion and reduce diffraction, producing a coherent, wide soundstage. Behind the dome, a labyrinth rear enclosure dissipates the backwave so internal reflections do not color the presentation. Each element serves the same purpose: preserve the purity of the signal.

CNC Machined in Sheffield

This commitment to innovation is supported by a rare level of manufacturing capability, all located under one roof at Wilson Benesch's Falcon House headquarters. From raw billets of aluminium and steel to resin and dry carbon fibre, materials are transformed on site into precision-machined components with tolerances measured in microns. The company’s CNC machine fleet produces more than 150 unique parts, from the smallest drive-unit connectors to massive 30kg loudspeaker feet machined from 120kg aluminium slabs. Every loudspeaker is built to order, ensuring each example is assembled and finished to exacting standards before leaving Sheffield.

From compact standmounts to full-range floorstanders, Wilson Benesch loudspeakers are known for speed, transparency, and three-dimensional imaging that draws you into the recorded performance. Each model reflects a single philosophy: reveal music in its most natural and complete form.
