I included ViaBlue SC-2 cables because quality cables matter at this level. The SC-2 extracts every ounce of performance from this pairing while staying transparent to the music.

Note: The Primare does not have a built-in phono stage, which is why I offer the turntable add-on with a dedicated Rega Fono MM MK5. If vinyl is part of your world, this addition makes the system complete.

At the core is the Primare I15 Prisma MK2, a 60W per channel Class D amplifier with built-in network streaming, HDMI ARC input, and MQA decoding. Its refined, musical presentation handles everything from delicate classical passages to dynamic rock without breaking a sweat.

The Acoustic Energy AE1 40th Anniversary speakers represent four decades of British loudspeaker engineering in a compact monitor format. Their ceramic aluminum bass driver and soft dome tweeter reveal detail and texture that larger speakers often miss. They are demanding but rewarding partners for high-quality amplification.

ViaBlue SC-2 Silver Series speaker cables complete the system, providing clean signal transfer without adding coloration. The result is a system that punches well above its price point in clarity, imaging, and musical engagement.

Optional Additions

Add a Rega Planar 2 turntable with Rega Fono MM MK5 phono stage for vinyl playback. The Primare I15 lacks an internal phono stage, so the external Fono MM provides clean, accurate RIAA equalization.

For extended bass response in larger rooms, consider adding one or two REL T/5x subwoofers. These musical subs integrate seamlessly with bookshelf monitors without overwhelming their character.
