AVM Evolution

AVM Evolution is the third of AVM's four lines, and every model in it comes as a sister pair: the 3.3 is fully transistor, while the 5.3 adds a tube line stage. AVM says the rest of the specification is shared between the two, and on the CS 5.3 the tubes show through a glass pane in the lid. The pairs are the CS 3.3 and CS 5.3 streaming CD receivers, the AS 3.3 and AS 5.3 streaming integrated amplifiers, the MP 3.3 and MP 5.3 CD and media players, and the PAS 3.3 and PAS 5.3 streaming preamplifiers.

The CS, AS and PAS models all have an MM and MC phono input, the streaming models all have HDMI ARC for a television, and the CS and MP models load discs through a slot-in CD drive. For records, the PH 3.3 and PH 5.3 phono stages follow the same transistor and tube split, with a slot for the optional PH Module MC for balanced moving-coil cartridges. AVM rates the tubes in the 5.3 models at about 20,000 hours.
