The X5w's tweeter sits in a custom waveguide specified by Perlisten to control vertical and horizontal dispersion, which keeps the direct sound focused at the listener and pushes reflections into a more predictable envelope. Three-Way Driver Array

Running the X5w as a genuine three-way lets each driver work in the band where it performs best. Two of the three 5.5" carbon fiber woofers are high-excursion models to generate real low-end output from a cabinet this thin, while the third handles midrange duty. The 38mm silk dome tweeter handles the top end through the custom waveguide.

Designed for Stereo, LCR, and Immersive Systems

The X5w is equally at home as a stereo pair, a front LCR array for a 4K or 8K display, or the front three channels in a 7.2.4 or Atmos system. All X-Series on-walls share the same 38mm silk dome tweeter, so mixing X-Series sizes across channels keeps the tonal character of the top end consistent. The X5w pairs with dedicated subwoofers for the low end below 60Hz.

Build, Finish, and Installation

The cabinet is 740mm tall, 200mm wide, and only 100mm deep, and it weighs 20kg. Both Satin Black and Satin White finishes are smooth and low-sheen so the speaker doesn't throw reflections back into the room or pick up glare from a projector. The mounting bracket and angle bracket in the box let you orient the speaker vertically or toe it in slightly where the room calls for it.
