The Perlisten X-Series is the brand's line of on-wall, in-wall and in-ceiling speakers, built to get around the usual on-wall trade. Shrink a cabinet to wall depth and it normally gives up pattern control: the tweeter sits close to the wall, reflections smear the image, and the sweet spot narrows. Perlisten put its custom waveguide on a 38mm silk dome tweeter, built the on-walls as sealed aluminum cabinets just 100mm deep, and held the series back until it measured like the rest of the line. They hang flat beside a TV and the imaging still holds with the speaker mounted off-center.
The on-wall models step up by woofer count. The X2w is a two-way with one 5.5-inch carbon fiber woofer. The X3w puts two woofers around the tweeter. The X5w goes three-way with four, two of them high excursion, and climbs to 92dB sensitivity. The X2ic brings the same tweeter overhead with a 6.5-inch woofer, and the X3iw is the in-wall model built on the X3w's design. The published models are rated down to 60Hz, so most X-Series systems hand the bottom octaves to one of our Perlisten subwoofers.
