Perlisten subwoofers share a common engineering platform across two lines. The D-Series uses carbon fiber composite drivers with amplifiers ranging from 2.0kW to 3.0kW RMS. THX Dominus certified. These were the first subwoofers to achieve that rating. The R-Series uses glass fiber composite drivers with 1.0kW amplification, bringing the same design philosophy to a more accessible price point.
Both lines feature sealed enclosures, Klippel-optimized drivers for linear excursion at high output, and a shared DSP platform: 48-bit processing with a 32-bit ARM Cortex M4 processor, 2.4-inch LCD touchscreen, 10-band parametric EQ, variable phase control, and iOS/Android app integration.
Every driver uses carbon or glass fiber diaphragms, aluminum shorting rings, multi-layer Nomex spiders, and aluminum voice coil wire. These subwoofers integrate cleanly with Perlisten speakers or any reference system. We can help match the right model to your room size and output requirements.
"The R-Series subwoofers use the exact same phone app and the same DSP platform as the flagship D-Series. The balancing act in subwoofers is always between how low they play and how fast they respond. Bigger subwoofers go lower but they lose speed in the upper bass frequencies. The R-Series dual driver models are not designed to go lower. They are designed to give you more headroom, lower distortion, higher output capability, and faster transient speed because each driver operates with less strain. The dual driver configuration is the right choice for either higher listening levels or for combining two channel and home theater into one system."
