Chord Electronics Amplifiers

Chord Electronics amplifiers use ULTIMA dual feed-forward error correction, a proprietary topology where a dedicated error correction amplifier monitors and corrects the output signal at two points in the circuit. This is not conventional negative feedback. Proprietary matched MOSFET output transistors and high-frequency switch-mode power supplies operating at 70 kHz complete the design.

The range starts with the Anni headphone amplifier, moves through the Etude in the Choral range, to ULTIMA stereo amplifiers (Ultima 6, Ultima 5) and mono blocks (Ultima 3, Ultima 2, Ultima). The Ultima Integrated combines preamp and power amp in one ULTIMA chassis. All designed and built in Kent, England.
