Chord Electronics Power Amplifiers

Chord Electronics power amplifiers span from the 180-watt BerTTi to the 780-watt Ultima reference mono blocks. Every model uses the proprietary ULTIMA dual feed-forward error correction topology, a fundamentally different approach to amplification that eliminates crossover distortion without relying on heavy negative feedback. The result is an amplifier that maintains grip and composure into any speaker load, including notoriously difficult planar and electrostatic designs.

The stereo power amplifiers, Etude, Suzi, Ultima 5, and Ultima 6, cover 150 to 330 watts per channel. For absolute reference performance, the Ultima 3, Ultima 2, and Ultima mono blocks deliver 480 to 780 watts each with dedicated power supplies per channel. All designed and handbuilt in Kent, England.
