Carbon Fiber Driver Technology

Both A3t woofers use carbon fiber diaphragms of Perlisten's own design. Carbon fiber provides an ideal combination of stiffness and low mass, which means the driver can start and stop quickly without flexing or distorting. This translates to bass that's punchy and defined rather than loose or bloated.

Teteron Tweeter and Waveguide

The A3t's high-frequency reproduction comes from a 35mm Teteron composite dome tweeter mounted in a custom waveguide. Perlisten designed the waveguide to maximize the tweeter's output and dispersion, and response extends to 27kHz. The waveguide manages directivity so that the speaker's tonal balance remains consistent across a wide listening area, not just on-axis. Multiple listeners seated across a room hear the same coherent presentation.

Full-Range Bass Performance

The A3t's bass reflex design extends its frequency response to 31Hz at -6dB in free space. Place it in a typical room and boundary reinforcement pushes that down to approximately 26Hz at -6dB and 17Hz at -10dB. That's deep enough to reproduce the lowest notes in most music and the low-frequency effects in film soundtracks. For many rooms and listening preferences, the A3t eliminates the need for a subwoofer entirely. If you do want a sub for the lowest octave, Perlisten's subwoofer lineup integrates well.
