The Perlisten R-Series brings the company's proprietary DPC-Array technology to a broader audience. Each speaker uses a three-driver array of 26mm silk dome tweeters developed in-house for smooth, detailed midrange and treble reproduction. Woofers use HPF (Hybrid Pulp Formulation) diaphragms, a proprietary material Perlisten spent two years developing. The R7t tower, R5m monitor, R5c and R7c centers all carry THX Dominus and Ultra certification. The R4b bookshelf and R4s surround are THX Ultra certified.
Towers and monitors offer switchable bass reflex or acoustic suspension alignment. Every driver is custom-developed by Perlisten's engineering team using Klippel laser measurement and Comsol acoustic modeling. We can help you build a system around R-Series or mix with S-Series components.
"The R-Series uses the same engineering principles as the flagship S-Series but adapted for soft dome tweeters and pulp cone woofers. The number in the model name corresponds to how many drivers are in the array. Perlisten focuses heavily on beamforming which is aided by driver symmetry. They have applied ideas used in active/DSP speakers to a passive speaker design. It controls dispersion better and greatly reduces floor and ceiling reflections. This is why Perlisten speakers image the way they do. They create a very controlled vertical dispersion pattern with precise imaging even in rooms that are not heavily treated."
