The Oracle Audio Delphi MkVII Signature puts LED lighting inside both the acrylic base and the floating sub-chassis, turning the Delphi's engineering into a visual experience you control with a remote. Choose colors independently for each zone, match your room's mood, or let it glow while you listen in the dark. The black acrylic base reflects the aluminum sub-chassis onto its surface for high contrast that makes the illumination genuinely striking. Beneath the light show, this is the full MkVII platform: MVSS vibration control, dual tripod bearing, tri-pedal suspension, and a 4 kg machined platter.
We carry the Signature because some customers want their turntable to be a centerpiece, not just an audio component, and this delivers that without compromising performance. The Classic's clear acrylic lets you watch the sub-chassis float during playback. The Signature adds illumination, outlining the mechanical structure with color. The engineering underneath is identical to the Classic and Reference. This is a serious turntable that looks spectacular.
Key Features of the Oracle Audio Delphi MkVII Signature Turntable
- Integrated LED Lighting: LEDs in both the acrylic base and floating sub-chassis, independently controllable via included remote. Full color spectrum.
- Black Acrylic Base: Reflects the aluminum sub-chassis for high visual contrast that showcases LED illumination. Granite base also available.
- Remote Color Control: Change base and sub-chassis LED colors independently from your listening position.
- Micro Vibration Stabilizer System (MVSS): Captures and dissipates micro-vibrations within the floating sub-chassis. The most significant improvement to the Delphi since 1979.
- Dual Tripod Bearing: Six precision PEEK screws in offset tripod configuration. Tungsten carbide ball tip on Glass Filled Torlon thrust plate for near-zero friction.
- Two-Piece Platter Assembly: Inner platter/spindle separates from the 4 kg outer platter, reducing resonances and preserving bearing calibration.
- Tri-Pedal Suspension: Three towers with 12 components and 7 mechanical filters each, isolating the sub-chassis from room vibrations and speaker energy.
- AC Synchronous Motor: Low-voltage, impedance-matched coils, military-grade capacitors, dual current drive circuitry.
The LED Lighting System
Two independently controlled zones (base and sub-chassis) give you a full spectrum of color combinations via the included remote. Set the base to one color and the sub-chassis to another, creating depth and contrast that changes the turntable's character. In a darkened room, the illuminated sub-chassis appears to hover above the glowing base while the platter spins. The Delphi's clear components were always designed to show the floating reading apparatus. The LED system transforms that into visual art.
Base Options: Black Acrylic and Granite
The standard base is black acrylic (not clear like the Classic), mirroring the aluminum sub-chassis and LED lighting for high contrast. For maximum vibration isolation, the Signature is also available with the same 17 kg granite slab used in the Delphi Reference. Granite variants weigh approximately 25 kg with measurably better isolation from airborne vibrations.
Power Supply Options
Available with the standard power supply or the Turbo MkII, which reduces parasitic noise to less than one millivolt with precise 24.35 VDC calibration. The improvement is audible: tighter bass, greater dynamic range, lower noise floor. The full configuration (LED lighting, granite base, Turbo MkII) is the most complete Delphi MkVII. The Turbo can be added later as a field upgrade.
MVSS and Vibration Control
The MVSS captures micro-vibrations generated within the floating sub-chassis (motor, stylus, bearing) and dissipates them before they reach the stylus. This is distinct from the suspension, which handles external vibrations. Together, these systems mean the stylus reads the groove and very little else, resulting in improved harmonic integrity, sharper transients, and a soundstage with genuine depth.
Bearing and Drive System
Six precision PEEK screws in two offset tripods (120/60 degree geometry) center the spindle with self-correcting accuracy that holds for decades. Tungsten carbide ball tip on Glass Filled Torlon thrust plate, no metal-on-metal contact. The 4 kg platter concentrates mass at the outer edge for flywheel stability. Dual current drive circuitry provides high start-up torque and minimum energy during playback.
Tonearm Compatibility and Dust Cover
The Signature accepts 9-inch or 10-inch tonearms via a pre-cut armboard (tonearm and cartridge not included). Oracle's Reference Tonearm and Paris Tonearm are both excellent matches. A hinged acrylic dust cover is available with some variants. Oracle's Full Dome dust cover is also available separately.
