REL Planar is REL's wall-mountable subwoofer line, and this page holds every Planar model The Listening Room carries. A Planar cabinet is 5.7 inches deep, plus 1.5 inches for the wall bracket, so it hangs on the wall like an on-wall speaker instead of standing on the floor. Both models pair active drivers with a 10-inch FibreAlloy passive radiator, run on Class D amplification, and build REL's Airship Direct wireless receiver into the cabinet, pre-paired at the factory.
The PL-1 uses dual 6.5-inch FibreAlloy long-throw drivers and a 300-watt amplifier and reaches 31 Hz in room. The PL-2 steps up to an 8-inch FlatPiston driver and 550 watts for 24 Hz. Both ship with wall-mounting brackets and hardware, take high-level Speakon, low-level RCA and LFE inputs, and finish in Piano Black or Gloss White lacquer with cloth or Premium Wood grilles.
