Michell Audio turntable upgrades are factory-designed kits that bring an existing Michell deck closer to the performance of the flagship Orbe without replacing the turntable. The Orbe Platter Kit fits the GyroDec and Gyro SE with the Orbe's 60mm impedance-matched platter, screw-down record clamp, and damping materials. The Orbe Clamp Kit retrofits the threaded spindle and screw-down clamp alone, coupling the record tightly to the platter and flattening minor warps. The DC Motor Kit swaps in a quieter DC motor with adjustable 33⅓ and 45 RPM speed control.
An upgrade can also be the front end itself. Michell's CUSIS moving coil cartridges span the CUSIS E through the CUSIS M, and the company builds two tonearms of its own, the T8 and the TecnoArm 2.
