The Grand Mezza V2 is the slimmest floorstander in the range, with a cabinet just 201mm wide. The Grand Mezza V2 uses two 150mm Scan-Speak aluminum-cone woofers in a two-and-a-half-way configuration. Both drivers handle the low frequencies together for added bass weight, while only the upper woofer carries on into the midrange and meets the 26mm soft dome tweeter at 2,000Hz. Opera lists the crossover points as 250Hz and 2,000Hz. The result is the low-end authority of a larger tower with the focused, point-source imaging of a smaller two-way.

The slimmest floorstanding speaker in the Classica V2 lineup, the Grand Mezza V2 features a tall, narrow cabinet engineered to minimize side-wall vibrations and internal reflections. The 4cm thick MDF panels are wrapped in textured eco-leather, available in a Rosewood wood-effect finish or contemporary Concrete Gray. The speaker stands on a dedicated outrigger base with adjustable spikes for a stable, decoupled footing on carpet or hard floors.

Crossover Design and Signal Path

The crossover network operates at 250Hz and 2,000Hz, blending the dual midwoofers smoothly with the soft dome tweeter. Opera designed the crossover PCB in-house, and the internal wiring between the crossover and the drivers uses thick-gauge, high-purity copper cable for signal integrity. The result is coherent, phase-accurate sound that rewards careful system matching.
