The Chord Electronics Poly turns your Mojo 2 into a wireless music player. Snap it onto the back of the Mojo 2, connect to your home Wi-Fi, and suddenly you're streaming from Roon, AirPlay, or a microSD card full of hi-res files without a phone or computer anywhere in the chain. Battery-powered, pocket-sized, and built from the same aircraft-grade aluminum as the Mojo 2 itself.

What the Poly Actually Does

The Mojo 2 is one of the best-sounding portable DACs you can buy, but it needs a physical cable to a source device. The Poly removes that cable. It sits between your network and the Mojo 2, receiving digital audio wirelessly and passing it to the Mojo 2's FPGA over a direct digital connection. The Mojo 2 handles all the conversion; the Poly just gets the music there.

In practice, this means you can control playback from Roon on your phone, stream from Apple Music via AirPlay, browse a NAS full of FLAC files over DLNA, or play directly from a microSD card loaded with your library. The Poly handles all the network negotiation. The Mojo 2 does what it does best.

Chord Electronics Poly Streaming Protocols

Roon Ready certification means the Poly shows up as an audio endpoint in Roon, with full metadata, gapless playback, and signal path display. AirPlay lets any Apple device send audio to the Poly without additional software. DLNA/UPnP connects to network-attached storage and media servers. Bluetooth 4.1 covers quick wireless connections when Wi-Fi is not available. The GoFigure app (iOS/Android) manages switching between these modes, stores up to 32 network configurations, and handles firmware updates.

Local File Playback

Drop a microSD card into the Poly's slot and it becomes a self-contained music player. The card appears as both a DLNA server and an SMB network share, so you can browse and play files from Roon, the GoFigure app, or any DLNA controller on your network. Format support covers WAV, FLAC, AIFF, ALAC, OGG Vorbis, AAC, WMA, and MP3 at resolutions up to 768kHz PCM and DSD256.

Portable Use with the Chord Mojo 2

The Poly matches the Mojo 2's footprint exactly: 50mm long, 62mm wide, 22mm tall, 91 grams. Velcro or a rubber band holds the two together, and the combined package still fits in a jacket pocket. The Poly's own 2200mAh battery delivers up to 9 hours of streaming playback, roughly matching the Mojo 2's runtime. A 4-hour fast charge via USB gets both units back to full independently.

The Poly works with both the original Mojo and the Mojo 2. It attaches directly to either unit via the charging and data ports. No adapters or cables needed.

Can I stream from Roon to the Poly?
