How the MSX10 Balanced Mode Radiator Works

Most speakers split the work between a woofer and a tweeter and hand off at a crossover point. The MSX10 instead uses one Balanced Mode Radiator, a driver that blends the pistonic motion of a conventional cone with the bending-wave behavior of a flat panel. The result is a single full-range unit and the wide, cohesive dispersion that Cambridge Audio built the MSX range around.
