The MKII combines a new, lightning-fast 10-inch CarbonGlas™ driver with a cool-running and powerful 300-watt Class D amplifier. This incredible leap in performance comes from a new 300-watt Class D amplifier paired with an upgraded driver and all-new filters. This massive increase in usable headroom creates an effortless sense of ease, allowing the subwoofer to deliver savage, high-impact explosions and subtle atmospheric rumbles with equal poise.

The CarbonGlas™ Driver

The heart of "The Hammer" is its 10-inch (250mm) CarbonGlas™ driver. This composite cone is exceptionally lightweight and stiff, a combination that results in explosive dynamics and speed. The primary cone is made of lightweight glass fibre and is stiffened by a true carbon fibre center cap, creating a cost-effective yet truly pistonic cone. Paired with a more powerful magnet and an upgraded suspension, this driver can handle immense power and produce prodigious output, all while remaining as fast and liquid as any REL.

A Pure Theater Foundation

The HT/1003 MKII is a home theater purist. Its input filters are specifically designed for the demands of modern LFE, not music. A new, all-analog PerfectFilter™ lifts and extends the deepest bass, while a higher secondary filter allows energy to extend further up the spectrum, making explosions feel more realistic and savage. Finally, an analog subsonic filter removes signals below 20Hz that can cause damage and rob the amplifier of power, ensuring every watt is dedicated to producing clean, audible, and tactile bass.

Sleek Form, Solid Function

This subwoofer is designed to blend beautifully into any room. The cabinet is low and sleek, with a durable, line-grained black composite finish that is easy to maintain. This is crowned by a 15mm thick, piano-black top plate, polished in five coats of hand-rubbed lacquer. This top plate doesn't just look beautiful; its mass and finish serve to damp vibrations from the cabinet, ensuring all the energy is translated into pure, clean bass.

Wireless Freedom

For a clean, minimalist setup, the HT/1003 MKII is fully compatible with REL's optional HT-Air MKII wireless system. This affordable, high-speed system uses a 5.8Ghz signal, free from compression, to deliver the .1/LFE signal with a latency of just 16-20 milliseconds. This gives you the freedom to place the subwoofer in the perfect spot for the best possible bass response, without the constraint of an LFE cable.
