Quadraspire SV Bronze Upgrade (Pair)

The SV Bronze Upgrade replaces the standard feet on a Quadraspire rack with solid bronze ones. It retrofits to any Q4 Evo or SVT HiFi rack or wall shelf. Bronze carries a broader tonal spectrum and greater sustain than the standard fitting, which opens up the soundstage without thinning out detail. Sold as a pair.

Why bronze

Bronze is a high-copper alloy, and it is the same family of material used for the bodies and bells of metal wind instruments and for the winding on acoustic guitar, mandolin and violin strings. Quadraspire chose it for those harmonic qualities: a broader response spectrum and longer sustain, arrived at through listening tests rather than simulation, in the way instruments themselves are voiced.

Avoiding parallel lines

The bronze upgrades are machined to avoid parallel surfaces, following the same principle used in most musical instruments to keep resonance from building up in one place. The assembly is spiked and adjustable, so you can level a shelf finely once it is fitted.

Fitting

These retrofit to an existing rack. Quadraspire supplies them in pairs and in sets of four, so a full shelf on a four-column rack takes two pairs. Made in Britain.
