The R7c is the commanding centerpiece of the R-Series, a masterfully engineered speaker that brings the core DNA of Perlisten's flagship S-Series to a wider audience. Designed as the perfect anchor for a reference-grade home cinema, the R7c delivers dialogue with pristine clarity and handles the most demanding soundtracks with an effortless, dynamic authority. It shares the same DPC-Array technology as its larger siblings, ensuring a perfectly cohesive and tonally matched front soundstage. It peaks at 116.0dB with second and third harmonic distortion held under 3%, so the heaviest passages in a soundtrack arrive without compression.
Key Features
- 116dB Peak Output: Holds 116.0dB peaks at under 3% second and third harmonic distortion, measured across 100Hz to 20kHz, so reference-level scenes stay clean.
- Proprietary DPC-Array: The heart of the R7c is a patent-pending DPC-Array with three 26mm silk domes, meticulously engineered for exceptional accuracy, smooth response, and controlled dispersion.
- HPF Woofers: Four 165mm (6.5") HPF (Hybrid Pulp Formulation) cone woofers are used for predictable low-frequency performance.
- Perfect Timbre Matching: Shares the same DPC-Array and driver technology as the entire R-Series, ensuring a seamless and tonally cohesive soundfield for a truly immersive experience.
- Acoustic Suspension Design: An acoustic suspension (sealed) enclosure.
- R-Series Drivers: Custom HPF bass drivers and the R-Series DPC array, timbre-matched across the series.
- Premium Finishes: Available in a stunning high-gloss piano black to complement any sophisticated living space.
The Voice of Authority
In any theater system, the center channel is the most crucial speaker, tasked with delivering clear, intelligible dialogue that anchors the entire performance. The R7c excels at this, thanks to its unique DPC-Array. This advanced driver configuration controls the speaker’s sound radiation pattern, focusing energy towards the listener and minimizing confusing reflections from the floor and ceiling. The result is a level of vocal clarity that is truly exceptional, allowing you to hear every whisper and subtle inflection with stunning realism, even during the most complex and chaotic action sequences.
Dynamics in Detail
The Perlisten R7c is built to thrill. The quartet of 6.5-inch HPF woofers work in perfect harmony to produce a dynamic range that is both powerful and highly detailed. These HPF cones are Perlisten's own pulp formulation. This allows the drivers to respond with lightning speed, revealing the texture and impact in movie soundtracks and musical scores with an agility and control that brings the entire performance to life.
Output Without Compression
The R7c peaks at 116.2dB at one meter, and still measures 116.0dB with second and third harmonic distortion under 3%, across 100Hz to 20kHz. The gap between those two numbers is the point: it runs out of headroom and distortion at nearly the same level, so there is no region where it is loud but strained. Four 165mm HPF woofers carry that load on a 100 to 400W amplifier. From the quietest moments of suspense to the most thunderous explosions, you are hearing the soundtrack with the power and precision intended by its creators.

Which towers is the Perlisten R7c designed for?
Which towers is the Perlisten R7c designed for?
It pairs naturally with the R7t and R5t towers, sharing the R-Series DPC array. It uses the R7t's driver complement, three 26mm silk domes in the DPC-Array with four 165mm HPF woofers, and matches the R7t's 116.0dB clean peak, so the center keeps up with the towers at reference levels. Like every R-Series model it is timbre-matched across the line.
How does the R7c compare with the S7c?
How does the R7c compare with the S7c?
Perlisten's own words are that the R7c is second only to the S7c. Both use a DPC-Array. The step to the S7c is driver technology: a 28mm beryllium dome with TeXtreme carbon drivers in place of the R7c's silk domes and HPF pulp woofers.
What amplifier power does the R7c need?
What amplifier power does the R7c need?
Perlisten recommends 100 to 400 watts RMS. The R7c is a 4 ohm nominal load with a 3.0 ohm minimum and 90.2dB sensitivity, so it asks for an amplifier channel that is stable into low impedance, ideally the same class of channel driving your front towers.
