At this level, every detail matters: your room, your system, what you’re driving it with, what you’re listening to. I handle these orders personally because an investment like this deserves more than an Add to Cart button. We’ll work through system synergy, I’ll make sure the setup is right, and we’ll coordinate delivery so it arrives exactly how it should. A few of our brands require this direct approach, but at this price point, it’s how I’d do it anyway. Use the button above, or call/text me directly at 410-239-2020.

The Kora TA240 is a Class AB stereo amplifier delivering 2 × 120 W into 8 Ω and 2 × 200 W into 4 Ω, powered by Kora’s proprietary SquareTube® technology. Each channel features four triodes in combination with high-current power transistors, offering the natural smoothness of tubes with the unrestrained energy of solid-state amplification. This hybrid design eliminates phase shifts, ensures absolute stability, and delivers outstanding precision with natural dynamics, even on complex loads. Handcrafted in France, the TA240 embodies musicality, detail, and effortless power.
Square Tube Technology
In the TA240, Kora’s Square Tube Technology forms the foundation of its design. This unique circuit achieves the harmonic richness of tubes while retaining the control and efficiency of solid-state, giving the TA240 a character that feels effortless yet precise. It delivers clarity, texture, and dynamics well beyond what is expected at its price point, making it a standout in the power amplifier category.

Does the Kora TA 240 have a volume control?
Does the Kora TA 240 have a volume control?
No. The TA series are power amplifiers and need a preamplifier, such as Kora's PR 140. The TA 240 has one RCA and one balanced XLR input, selected with the front button, and reaches full power from about 500mV. Get in touch with Mike to plan the pairing.
How do I match the TA 240 to my preamplifier?
How do I match the TA 240 to my preamplifier?
With its input attenuator, adjustable from 0 to -40dB in 1dB steps. Kora's rule is that the amplifier should reach full power when the preamplifier is at full volume, and says the setting can be made by ear. For example, with a preamplifier putting out 2 volts, set the TA 240 to -12dB. The remote does not change this setting.
TA 240 or TB 200 integrated?
TA 240 or TB 200 integrated?
Kora describes the TA 240 as the non-integrated version of the TB 200, giving 120 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 200 into 4, against the TB 200's 100 and 180. It adds a balanced XLR input, but has no volume control, so it needs a separate preamplifier.
Can I use the TA 240 to bi-amp with a Kora integrated?
Can I use the TA 240 to bi-amp with a Kora integrated?
Yes. Connect it to the pre-out of an integrated amplifier, which Kora says every model in its range has, and use the TA 240's attenuator to balance its level against the integrated. Kora says that level adjustment is imperative in this setup.
Will the TA 240 run on US power, and how is it built?
Will the TA 240 run on US power, and how is it built?
Kora builds for 230V as standard, with 117V available on request. Like all Kora amplifiers it uses the Square Tube circuit, four triodes per channel, with twelve ON Semi power transistors supplying current without amplifying the signal. It draws up to 350 watts at full power into 8 ohms, weighs 19kg and needs ventilation all around.
