Cyrus 40 Series Remote Control

The Cyrus 40 Series Remote Control is the handset for the current Cyrus 40 Series components, the 80 AMP and the 80 PRE. Four mode keys (AMP, CD, ST and PPA) switch it between an amplifier, CD player, music streamer and phono preamplifier, so a full Cyrus stack runs from one handset. Buy it as a replacement for an original that has been lost or damaged.

Compatibility

The 40 Series remote sends commands to the following Cyrus components:

• Cyrus 40 PPA Phono Preamplifier
• Cyrus 80 AMP Streaming Integrated Amplifier
• Cyrus 80 PRE Streaming Preamplifier

Controls

Pressing AMP switches on a Cyrus amplifier and directs commands to it. CD, ST and PPA each switch on the matching source component and send commands to both that component and the amplifier. The mode keys are backlit and light automatically when a command is sent, showing which mode the handset is in.

Twenty one commands are documented: standby, the four mode keys, cursor up, down, left and right with OK, Home, Return, settings menu, brightness menu, input up and down, volume up and down, mute, play and pause, stop and eject, skip track forward, and skip track back.
