Ruark Audio R-CD100 CD Player

The Ruark R-CD100 is a slot-loading CD transport that adds disc playback to current-generation Ruark R410/R610/R810 systems through a single USB-C connection. The drive sits inside a Fused Walnut cabinet with a machined aluminum top, drawing power from the host system and handing off full playback control to the RotoDial. No separate power supply, no extra remote, no setup menus.

R-CD100 Design and Build

The R-CD100 uses the same material palette as the rest of Ruark's current lineup. A machined aluminum top panel sits above a Fused Walnut enclosure with the ribbed cabinet detail found on the R410 and R610. The slot opening on the front face accepts standard 120mm discs with a smooth mechanical pull. At 45mm tall, 175mm wide, and 167mm deep, it sits beside or on top of its host system without adding visual clutter. The single eject button and power LED on the front panel are the only controls, keeping the design minimal.

R-CD100 Setup and Compatibility

Connect the included USB-C cable to the rear of your R-series system. The R-CD100 draws 5W from the USB port and appears as a CD source on the system's input menu. Transport controls (play, pause, skip, stop) work through the RotoDial or Bluetooth remote, with track information shown on the host system's screen. The drive handles CD-DA, CD-R, and CD-RW discs as a real-time transport.

Important: The R-CD100 is only compatible with the current-generation Ruark R410/R610/R810. It is not compatible with MK1 versions of these models or any other Ruark products.
