Which Matrix Audio products does the RM2 remote control?

The RM2 is the infrared remote for select Matrix Audio DACs and streamers, giving direct access to input selection, volume, mute, and power or standby without using the unit's front panel or the app. It does not control Matrix's newer model lines, which use a different remote. What battery does the RM2 use?

It runs on a single CR2032 coin-cell battery, which gives roughly a year of normal use. The battery is not included, so plan to add one when you order. It loads from a small drawer compartment on the back of the remote and swaps in seconds with no tools.

What is the control range of the RM2?

The RM2 has a working range of about three to five meters, line of sight to the component's infrared receiver. It is a compact remote with an aluminum faceplate and ten buttons for power, mute, volume, and direct input selection.

The Matrix Audio RM2 is a compact infrared remote control designed for select Matrix Audio DACs and streamers. It provides direct access to input selection, volume, mute, and power/standby without reaching for the unit or opening the MA Remote app.

Compatibility

The RM2 remote is compatible with the following Matrix Audio products:

The RM2 is a direct replacement for the original RM1 remote and supports all RM1 functions. For newer Matrix Audio products (X-SABRE 3, element series, mini-i 3 series), see the RM3 remote instead.
