The Theatro is designed as the center channel for Vienna Acoustics' Concert Grand series home theater systems. A typical setup pairs it with Baby Grand Reference or Concert Grand Reference front speakers and Waltz Grand on-wall surrounds. Because the Theatro shares the Concert Grand series voicing philosophy (silk dome tweeter, polypropylene cone woofers, Bessel-derived crossover topology), dialogue and effects pan smoothly across the front soundstage without tonal shifts between channels.

Theatro vs. Poetry: Two Center Channels, Two Series

Vienna Acoustics makes two center channel speakers. The Theatro belongs to the Concert Grand series and uses separate XPP cone woofers and a standalone silk dome tweeter. The Poetry belongs to the Klimt series and uses a patented Flat-Spider-Cone coincident driver (tweeter mounted at the center of the midrange) flanked by dual 9-inch woofers. Poetry is substantially larger (36 inches wide, 110 lbs) and plays deeper (32 Hz), with the point-source imaging advantage of the coincident driver. The Theatro is the correct center for Concert Grand series front speakers. Poetry is the correct center for Klimt series front speakers like The Music.
