AVM Ovation PA 8.3 Digital-In Module
The AVM Ovation PA 8.3 Digital-In Module is a plug-in module for the AVM Ovation PA 8.3 modular preamplifier. It is AVM's digital input card for the PA 8.3, the DAC module among its optional modules.
The PA 8.3 is AVM's modular analog preamplifier. AVM's 2026 overview gives it room for up to eight input modules and three output modules, and AVM's page lists the minimal configuration as one input card and one output card.
The card takes coaxial and optical S/P-DIF from 33 kHz up to 96/192 kHz at 16 to 24 bit, plus USB-B. It has switchable upsampling and downsampling up to 384 kHz/32-bit. Over USB it plays PCM up to 96 kHz/24-bit without a driver, and with a driver PCM up to 384 kHz/32-bit plus DSD64 and DSD128.
