If you think bigger is always better, the Perlisten R10s is here to challenge that notion. Designed for tight, accurate bass in a compact footprint, the R10s takes the cutting-edge technology of Perlisten’s flagship D-Series and distills it into a 10-inch powerhouse. With precision-engineered components, a 750W RMS amplifier, and advanced DSP processing, this subwoofer delivers low-frequency performance that defies its size. Whether you need clean bass for music or deep impact for movies, the R10s ensures that every note and rumble is felt as much as it is heard.

Where Small Meets Mighty
The Perlisten R10s might be compact, but it delivers bass that punches well above its size. Engineered with trickle-down technology from the flagship D-Series, this subwoofer is a powerhouse wrapped in a sleek, understated enclosure. If you’re looking for a sub that balances tight, controlled bass with room-filling depth, the R10s is the perfect choice.
Engineered for Precision & Power
The 10-inch driver in the R10s isn’t just any driver. It’s a fully custom-designed glass fiber composite diaphragm, complete with multiple aluminum shorting rings, multi-layer Nomex spiders, and a lightweight aluminum voice coil. This level of engineering results in a subwoofer that’s not only capable of delivering deep, authoritative bass, but also the kind of detail and accuracy that brings out the nuances of every note.
To power this driver, Perlisten has equipped the R10s with a 1.0kW amplifier, strategically limited to 750W RMS to match the 10” woofer. That means no wasted power—just pure, controlled output with minimal distortion.
Smart DSP for Ultimate Control
Bass is about more than just power—it’s about control. The 48-bit DSP engine in the R10s is backed by a 32-bit ARM Cortex M4 processor, working in microseconds to ensure pinpoint accuracy. Whether you’re listening to music or feeling the full impact of a cinematic explosion, the R10s delivers clean, undistorted bass.
You also get 10-band parametric EQ with 3 user presets, letting you fine-tune the bass response to your room. Choose from THX EQ, Boost EQ (for large rooms), or Cut EQ (for small rooms)—or customize your own settings for the perfect response.
Seamless System Integration
With balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs/outputs, the R10s can easily integrate into any system. Fine-tune crossover settings (30-160Hz), phase (0-270°), and polarity to dial in perfect synergy with your main speakers. Plus, the R10s offers auto turn-on and 12V trigger options for easy setup.
Touchscreen & App-Based Control
Controlling a subwoofer has never been easier. The 2.4” LCD touchscreen puts essential adjustments at your fingertips, while the Perlisten app for iOS and Android gives you full wireless control from anywhere in the room.
The Listening Room Difference
At The Listening Room, we don’t just sell subwoofers—we fine-tune them. Whether you’re looking for a sub to blend seamlessly with your high-end system or one to shake the walls, we’ll help you configure the R10s for maximum impact. Our team is here to guide you through placement, EQ settings, and integration for the best performance in your space.

Perlisten R10s or R12s: what does the bigger sub add?
Perlisten R10s or R12s: what does the bigger sub add?
Not deeper bass. Perlisten publishes the same low-end figures for both: 20Hz at -6dB and 16Hz at -10dB on the THX EQ curve. The R12s adds cone area and amplifier power. It uses a 300mm glass fiber driver on the full 1.0kW amplifier, where the R10s uses a 250mm driver on the same amplifier throttled back to 750W to match the smaller driver. Reference sensitivity rises from 88dB to 90dB. The R10s cabinet is 388 x 340 x 380mm at 21.0kg; the R12s is 428 x 390 x 375mm at 26.7kg. So the choice is output and headroom against footprint, not extension.
Can I use the R10s with a stereo amplifier that has no subwoofer output?
Can I use the R10s with a stereo amplifier that has no subwoofer output?
It needs a line-level signal. The R10s has one balanced XLR and one unbalanced RCA input and no speaker-level inputs, so it connects to a preamplifier output, an integrated amplifier's pre-out or sub-out, or an AV receiver's LFE output. If your amplifier has none of those, the R10s cannot take its signal from the speaker terminals. Once it is connected, the built-in low-pass filter (bypass, or 30 to 160Hz at 6, 12, 18 or 24dB per octave), variable phase from 0 to 270 degrees and a polarity switch let it blend with full-range main speakers, and auto turn-on or a 12V trigger switches it on with the system.
Should I buy one R10s or two?
Should I buy one R10s or two?
Two, placed apart, is the stronger layout if the room allows it. Perlisten's general subwoofer setup guidance is that a single sub near a corner gives the most output but also the most uneven response from seat to seat, and that two to four subs in different locations give the most balanced bass across the seating. The R10s is built for that: it has unbuffered XLR and RCA outputs, so a second unit can take its signal from the first when your processor has only one subwoofer output. A single R12s is the alternative when there is one good spot for a sub and you want more output from it.
Is the R10s suited to music as well as movies?
Is the R10s suited to music as well as movies?
Yes. It is a sealed, acoustic suspension design, and the controls that matter for music are all on board: a 10-band parametric EQ with three user presets, so a music setting and a movie setting can be stored separately, plus the low-pass filter, phase and polarity adjustments for matching it to your main speakers. Mike's view on the whole R-Series is that the balancing act in any subwoofer is how low it plays against how fast it responds, and bigger subwoofers go lower but lose speed in the upper bass. The R10s is the smaller end of that trade.
