Same oscillator. Same engineering team. Same Dutch obsession with clock precision. The Grimm Audio CC2 puts the CC1's reference-grade timing into a compact chassis with two BNC word clock outputs, built for the audiophile or studio that needs one master clock for one or two devices. If your DAC or streamer has a word clock input, the CC2 is one of the most cost-effective upgrades you can make to your digital signal chain.
Key Features of the Grimm Audio CC2
- Ultra-Low Jitter Oscillator: The same discrete crystal oscillator design used in the CC1, delivering clock stability that exceeds conventional test equipment.
- 2 BNC Word Clock Outputs: One for your DAC, one for your source. Clean, simple, done.
- Sample Rates to 192 kHz: Supports 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4, and 192 kHz.
- Compact Form Factor: Small enough for desktop or shelf placement. Optional 19" rack mount available.
CC1 Performance, Focused Package
Grimm's clock research showed that the oscillator itself is only part of the equation. Power supply noise, control circuit interference, and output-to-output crosstalk all degrade clock quality in ways that conventional designs ignore. The CC2 inherits every solution the CC1 pioneered, including isolated power regulation and low-noise output drivers. The difference is scale: the CC2 has 2 outputs where the CC1 has 16, and the CC2 omits AES/EBU reclocking. For a single-DAC or two-device setup, nothing is lost.
For the Grimm Audio System
The CC2 pairs naturally with the MU1 or MU2 streamers, providing a master clock reference for the entire digital chain feeding your LS1 loudspeakers. For larger systems requiring more outputs or AES reclocking, step up to the CC1.
