The Alare Remiga 2 Be is a no-compromise floorstanding loudspeaker designed to redefine what is possible in high-end audio reproduction. It is the beryllium-tweeter version of the Remiga 2, the first model in Alare's Remiga series: a 1.3-inch (34mm) beryllium tweeter, extremely light and stiff, takes the place of the diamond unit. This three-way giant employs a sophisticated tapered transmission line bass loading system driven by two massive carbon-sandwich woofers (10" and 8"), delivering bass that is thunderously deep yet incredibly fast and uncolored. Housed in a masterfully crafted "constrained layer" damped cabinet with an internal steel cage, the Remiga 2 Be is a monument to silence, power, and musical truth.

Beryllium: The Material of Speed
The "Be" in Remiga 2 Be signifies the use of a 1.3-inch (34mm) pure Beryllium tweeter. Beryllium is prized in high-end audio for its incredibly high stiffness-to-mass ratio, allowing the dome to accelerate and stop with lightning speed. This results in high frequencies that are exceptionally detailed, airy, and free from breakup distortion, even at extreme volume levels.
Uncolored Midrange Purity
The critical midrange frequencies are handled by a 7-inch (170mm) pure ceramic driver from the prestigious German Accuton Cell line. Ceramic drivers are renowned for their piston-like behavior and total lack of coloration. This driver is mounted in a dedicated volume filled with special aramid fiber wool to perfectly damp rear-wave energy. The result is vocals and instruments that sound startlingly natural, transparent, and free from the "boxiness" of traditional speakers.

The foundation of the Remiga 2 Be is its sophisticated bass system. Unlike simple ported designs, it uses a carefully tapered transmission line loaded by two custom-made carbon-sandwich woofers, a 10-inch unit and an 8-inch unit. Alare says a transmission line allows far greater control of speaker energy than simpler closed or bass reflex enclosures, for deeper, more detailed sound.
A Cabinet of Absolute Silence
Great drivers require a silent foundation. The Remiga 2 Be's cabinet is a fortress against vibration. It is constructed from a "constrained layer" sandwich of different woods bonded with special damping glue. This inert structure is further reinforced by an internal cage of steel bars, creating a rigid metal matrix that virtually kills all resonance. Alare says this virtually eliminates cabinet vibration.

Alare builds the two identically apart from the tweeter. The Remiga 2 Be has a 1.3-inch (34mm) pure beryllium dome, which Alare chose because beryllium is very light and stiff and resists breakup better than titanium or aluminum. The Remiga 2 Diamond swaps in a 1.2-inch Accuton diamond dome.

The rear output of the two woofers is directed into a tapered, folded pathway inside the cabinet, which Alare says gives far greater control of their energy and a deeper, more detailed bass. Alare's Remiga 2 manual lists an accessory box per pair with four jumpers for single wiring, eight steel leveling spikes with floor-protection discs and tightening knobs, a T-shaped Allen wrench, a bubble level and gloves, plus a cover for when the speakers are not in use. Each speaker weighs 120kg and travels on wheels that are replaced by the spikes, so unpack it close to where it will stand and allow two or more people.
