The Michell DC Motor Kit covers two situations. The first is an early Gyro running the original AC motor: this is the motor and power supply that converts it to modern DC specification. The second is a DC powered Gyro with an electrical or motor fault, where this is the service kit that gets the turntable running again.

What The Kit Does

Modern DC specification: replaces an early AC motor assembly with Michell's current DC motor and power supply.
Service replacement: restores a DC Gyro that has developed a motor or power supply fault.
Speed selection: 33 1/3 and 45 RPM, set electronically rather than by moving the belt.
Direct fit: installs on the Gyro without modification to the plinth or sub-chassis.

Which Kit Do You Need?

This is the Gyro and GyroDec kit. If you are working on an Orbe or converting a Gyro SE to Orbe SE specification, the electrical side is covered by the Orbe Motor and Power Supply Replacement instead, which pairs with the Orbe Platter Kit for the mechanical half.

Fitting is within reach of most owners, and we also offer DC Motor Kit installation if you would rather have it done. Contact us before ordering and we will confirm which kit your deck takes.
