Michell CUSIS M Cartridge Exchange
The Michell CUSIS M Cartridge Exchange lets you trade in your worn or damaged CUSIS M and take $950 off a brand-new one. The cartridge is the only part of your system that genuinely wears out: a diamond riding a groove until it starts to tell on itself. A dull stylus, a tired suspension, a cantilever that lost a fight with a curious hand or a cat on the shelf. When yours is spent, you shouldn't have to pay full price to hear your records again. Send back the old CUSIS M and a factory-fresh one comes the other way, same model, $950 less. Not a retip, not a rebuild.
How it works
- Buy this trade-in. Pick your packaging option above.
- Mail your old CUSIS M to our Chestertown showroom (or drop it off in person).
- In around a week your brand-new CUSIS M ships to you.

If you'd rather move to a different CUSIS than replace the one you have, contact Mike and he'll work it out with you. The credit depends on your cartridge and the model you want.
Two ways to handle the packaging
I'll provide my own packaging. Package the cartridge well, use the original box if you still have it, then ship it to our Chestertown showroom.
Listening Room Packaging at $19.95. We'll ship you a box with a prepaid return label inside. Open it, follow the instructions for safely packaging your cartridge, then drop the box at any USPS location.
What qualifies as a trade-in
Any worn or damaged Michell CUSIS M. A worn-out diamond, tired suspension, bent cantilever, snapped stylus, cosmetic damage. It doesn't have to be broken. Even a good cartridge that's simply run its hours qualifies. The trade-in is same-model only, a CUSIS M for a CUSIS M. Want to move up the CUSIS line with your trade-in? Why this program exists
Most people buying a cartridge are replacing one that's worn or broken, not chasing an upgrade. This trade-in is built for them. Instead of paying full retail on your next CUSIS M, send the old one back and get a brand-new one at 25% off. Full warranty, same as buying new. The program covers the whole CUSIS range, from the high-output E/H up to the Microline-stylus M.
