Finally got my dream speakers at the price I was willing to pay. Michael Hoatson delivered and set them up. Although used, they are in mint condition. The Mye stands were a bonus. I can’t add anything to all the accolades these speakers have received. They are great performers and one of the best values in the high fidelity industry.
My springs were the original and way old --easy to replace -- I did at same time upgrading to HR power supply -- my Michell has never played records better --
Super easy to do biz with the Listening Room -- great communication and quick shipping -- the way it's supposed to be!
All I gotta say is WOW -- the reports are true, the HR power supply really makes a difference -- if'n you got the $$$, then worth it --
Stumbled on The Listening Room (I'm not from their area) on the internet and I'm so glad I did! I quickly favorited their link and will watch for sales and gear that interest me. Mike notes that he's available to contact with questions so I texted him - and had an answer back in minutes. HIGHLY recommended as a great and reliable retailer in the hi-fi space! Great prices on open box and closeout gear as well. Stoked to have them as an option when I go shopping!
Took a chance on an "open box" Goldring E3 from The Listening Room, and I was sent what is indistinguishable from brand new - and it sounds amazing. The hype for this cartridge is real. And The Listening Room's great pricing incented me to buy another as a backup - and it arrived looking as new as well! Very pleased with this cart, but especially happy with The Listening Room providing such great value!
Meeting Mike was the highlight of my buying experience. Having him deliver a pair of 1.7x speakers to my home in the Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee was unbelievable. His setup expertise was greatly appreciated. Taking a ride in that new Porsche was icing on the cake 🙂
I couldn’t imagine a speaker that could sound better than my 1.6’s. Well, the 1.7x’s do by a surprisingly wide margin. My favorite word to describe them is crisp. Snare drums and high hat cymbals are especially dynamic, and acoustic instruments are especially magical. Sierra Hull’s mandolin never sounded better. The soundstage is impressive. The height, width, and depth of field are tightly focused. Clarity and separation are also superb. All in all, I made an excellent investment.
The listing for the stylus only showed a Pic of the entire cartridge which could cause buyers to assume the listing was for the entire cartridge. But I knew, based on the much lower price that it wasn't. But before processing my order, they contacted me to clarify this with me. Going above and beyond to ensure a happy experience. Thanks!
About 5 months ago, I purchased a Goldring e3 Cartridge to replace my long time favorite Shure V15 type IV that fell victim to a wandering child's finger. The replacement Shure stylus was very expensive so I decided to look for more affordable options. Based on several positive reviews, I chose the e3. I am very happy with my choice. I don't feel as if I sacrificed any quality. It sounds amazing. When I saw the sale on the e3 stylus, I had to stash it away in case wondering fingers returns.

The Perlisten S series (S7T, S7C) are the nicest speakers that I have owned. I can't say enough good things about them, the Internet is full of positive reviews if you want to research.I was most surprised by the positive effect of vertical beamforming.Reducing floor and ceiling reflections really adds more detail to the mix, you'll hear new details in songs. Working with Mike was a pleasure, and I'll definitely be back to complete the set.
