At this level, every detail matters: your room, your system, what you’re driving it with, what you’re listening to. I handle these orders personally because an investment like this deserves more than an Add to Cart button. We’ll work through system synergy, I’ll make sure the setup is right, and we’ll coordinate delivery so it arrives exactly how it should. A few of our brands require this direct approach, but at this price point, it’s how I’d do it anyway. Use the button above, or call/text me directly at 410-239-2020.

The Alare Remiga 2 Diamond is an uncompromising statement in loudspeaker design, a flagship floorstander that merges Italian craftsmanship with the absolute limits of acoustic engineering. It represents the ultimate expression of the Remiga series, featuring a technically superlative 1.2-inch pure Diamond tweeter for unmatched high-frequency purity and speed. This massive three-way system employs a complex tapered transmission line loaded by two custom carbon-sandwich woofers (10" and 8"), delivering bass of earth-shattering depth and precision. Housed in a masterfully constructed cabinet of layered woods and damping glue, reinforced by a steel cage, the Remiga 2 Diamond is a sculpture of sound that vanishes to leave only the music.
Key Features:
- 1.2" Pure Diamond Tweeter: Features a 30mm pure Diamond concave dome tweeter by Accuton for limitless high-frequency extension, speed, and detail without harshness.
- 7" Accuton Ceramic Midrange: A 170mm pure Ceramic membrane driver from the German Accuton Cell line delivers a midrange of startling transparency and lifelike presence.
- Tapered Transmission Line Bass: A sophisticated, twin-driver tapered transmission line loading provides deep, uncolored, and incredibly fast bass response.
- Dual Custom Carbon Woofers: Driven by one massive 10" (250mm) and one 8" (200mm) custom carbon-sandwich woofer for effortless dynamic scale.
- Constrained-Layer Damped Cabinet: The cabinet is a sandwich of different woods and special damping glue, reinforced by an internal steel bar cage to kill all resonance.
- Premium Point-to-Point Crossover: The crossover network is hand-wired using silver-plated solid core copper and premium components for ultimate signal integrity.
The Perfection of Diamond
The defining element of the Remiga 2 Diamond is its 1.2-inch (30mm) pure diamond membrane tweeter. Diamond is the ultimate material for a tweeter dome due to its extreme stiffness-to-weight ratio, pushing breakup modes far beyond the range of human hearing. This results in high frequencies that are incredibly extended, airy, and detailed, yet completely free from the metallic "glare" or softness of other materials. It resolves the finest micro-dynamics and spatial cues with absolute precision, creating a soundstage of immense width and depth.
Midrange Purity and Speed
To match the speed of the diamond tweeter, the midrange is handled by a 7-inch (170mm) pure ceramic driver from the elite German Accuton Cell line. Ceramic drivers are prized for their piston-like behavior and lack of coloration. This driver is mounted in a dedicated, acoustically damped volume filled with aramid fiber wool to absorb rear-wave energy perfectly. The result is a midrange that is startlingly open, natural, and free from boxiness, rendering vocals and instruments with palpable realism.
Deep, Fast, Uncolored Bass
The Remiga 2 Diamond abandons simple ports for a sophisticated tapered transmission line bass loading. This complex acoustic labyrinth is driven by two custom-made carbon-sandwich woofers—a massive 10-inch unit and an 8-inch unit—working in tandem. The transmission line design controls the back wave of the drivers to produce bass that is deep and powerful, yet retains the speed, texture, and definition of a sealed box. It delivers a foundation to the music that is felt as much as heard, without the "one-note" booming of lesser designs.
A Fortress of Silence
The cabinet of the Remiga 2 Diamond is a feat of engineering in itself. It is constructed using a "constrained layer" damping technique, where layers of different woods are bonded with a special damping glue to dissipate vibration. This inert structure is further reinforced by an internal cage of steel bars, creating a rigid matrix that virtually eliminates all cabinet resonance. This ensures that the sound you hear comes purely from the drivers, uncolored by the enclosure.

Alare Remiga 2 Diamond or Remiga 2 Be?
Alare Remiga 2 Diamond or Remiga 2 Be?
The tweeter is the only published difference. The Remiga 2 Diamond uses a 1.2-inch (30mm) concave diamond dome from Accuton; the Remiga 2 Be uses a 1.3-inch (34mm) beryllium dome. Alare lists the same sensitivity, response, impedance, size and weight for both. It says its diamond tweeters do not sound overly brilliant, but the opposite: "The diamonds simply disappear, only music remains." Get in touch with Mike to arrange a comparison.
What does the Remiga 2 have over the Remiga 1?
What does the Remiga 2 have over the Remiga 1?
Bigger drivers and more cabinet. The Remiga 2 pairs a 10-inch and an 8-inch carbon sandwich woofer from Audio Technology with a 7-inch Accuton ceramic midrange; the Remiga 1 Diamond uses 8-inch and 6-inch polypropylene woofers and a 5-inch Accuton midrange. Alare rates the Remiga 2 to 32Hz against 35Hz, at 88dB against 87dB. It stands 135cm to the Remiga 1's 130cm, and weighs 120kg each against 100kg.
How should the Remiga 2 Diamond be positioned?
How should the Remiga 2 Diamond be positioned?
Alare's manual starts from an equilateral triangle, with the speakers angled toward the listening position. It recommends keeping them away from corners, at least 1.5m from the wall behind and at least 2.5m apart, with the listening height between 0.9 and 1.1m. Level each speaker on its spikes with the supplied T wrench and bubble level.
Can the Remiga 2 Diamond be bi-wired or bi-amped?
Can the Remiga 2 Diamond be bi-wired or bi-amped?
Yes. It has separate Low and Mid-High terminal sections joined by supplied jumpers for single wiring; remove the jumpers to bi-wire, or drive the sections from two stereo amplifiers or two pairs of monoblocks to bi-amp. The terminals take bare wire, spades or banana plugs. Alare warns never to connect two or more speakers in parallel.
