Michell’s VTA Arm Adjuster is a precision sleeve that lets you raise or lower your Rega-based tonearm for optimal tracking geometry. Available in three versions (VTA 1, 2, and 3), it accommodates older threaded arms as well as newer three-point models, allowing you to dial in the perfect stylus rake angle (SRA) for enhanced clarity and detail retrieval. Installing the adjuster is straightforward—simply fit it between the arm and armboard, then fine-tune height in small increments to suit your cartridge. When precise setup matters, the Michell VTA Arm Adjuster provides a user-friendly solution for improved vinyl performance.
Three Versions for Different Rega Arms
- VTA 1: For older threaded Rega arms (e.g., RB250, RB300). The adjuster’s base adds 2mm height at its lowest setting. Can be used in conjunction with the Finger Locking Nut.
- VTA 2: For early three-point Rega arms (e.g., RB202, RB303). Also adds 2mm height at its lowest position. Includes shorter 10mm spacers for Michell turntables.
- VTA 3: For current three-point Rega arms (e.g., RB220, RB330). Adds 2mm at minimum, and comes with three nylon washers for extra lift beyond 3.5mm. (Only one in both black and silver)
Note: The VTA adjuster’s base is 2mm thick and once installed and set to its lowest position, the adjuster will raise your tonearm by 2mm. If you are using the adjuster with a Michell Engineering Gyro or Orbe model turntable then please fit the shorter 10mm arm plate spacers supplied, to compensate for the added height of the adjuster. If you wish to use the adjuster on a turntable where the arm plate/board cannot be lowered, then please note that your tonearm will be 2mm higher before any adjustment has taken place.
