Choosing Between Different Magnepan Speakers
We receive many messages asking about all the models. Below is a list of changes from model to model:
- LRS+ - Simple Quasi Ribbon two-way.
- .7 - More surface area
- 1.7i - More surface area and the addition of a Quasi Ribbon super-tweeter.
- 2.7i - A 40in True Ribbon tweeter.

- More surface area
- The Midrange and Bass have a support between them so they act as two separate diaphragms with less “crosstalk”
- 20.7 - Push-pull with magnets on both sides of the bass/midrange.
- 30.7 - Totally separate sheets of Mylar for each driver so they can be optimized for their given frequency range/duties.
