Design and Build

The DP85 features a lightweight Pocan® composite housing, chosen for its anti-coloration properties and rigidity. This durable construction securely holds all components, minimizing unwanted vibrations that can affect sound quality. The mechanical sandwich structure, inherited from the Reference model, ensures stability and accuracy in sound reproduction.

Equipped with a 0.132 m² low-midrange cell based on the exclusive optimized PPBM principle and a 30 cm ribbon tweeter, the DP85 delivers smooth, extended highs with low distortion. Sandwich Mechanical Structure: Composed of an assembly of MDF chassis and 2mm steel sheets, maintained tightly by numerous mechanical screws, the sandwich structure provides exceptional rigidity and eliminates color distortion, ensuring accurate sound reproduction.

Proprietary Ribbon Tweeters: The ribbon tweeters are produced as isodynamic cells using mylar film and aluminum coils.
