Unison Research MAX 1 Floorstanding Speaker

The MAX 1 is the compact floorstander in Unison Research's high-sensitivity speaker line, engineered specifically for tube amplifiers. A 12-inch Italian-made woofer with vegetable/carbon fiber diaphragm and neodymium magnet delivers bass extension to 30Hz, while the 1-inch titanium compression driver loaded on an aluminum horn ensures extended, natural highs. With 94dB sensitivity and a rear-panel switch to optimize performance for valve or solid-state amplification, the MAX 1 adapts to your system.

OPTIMIZED FOR TUBES

The MAX 1 was designed from the ground up for Unison Research valve amplifiers. The smoothed impedance curve reduces cable effects and amplifier damping factor interactions. But the real innovation is the rear-panel Valve/Solid State switch, letting you extract optimal performance whether you're running a Simply Italy or pairing with solid-state amplification.

ITALIAN CRAFTSMANSHIP

The 80-liter cabinet is built from 25mm MDF with internal bracing, lined with pyramidal polyurethane. The 5cm front panel is covered in synthetic leather with flush-mounted drivers and rounded edges to eliminate diffraction. Front-firing reflex ports can be closed for near-wall placement. Available in Cherry, Walnut, or Mahogany real wood veneer.
