At the heart of every design is founder and chief designer Peter Gansterer, an acoustical engineer whose work blends science, craftsmanship, and a lifelong devotion to music. His approach is closer to voicing a fine instrument than assembling electronics, balancing parameters until the loudspeaker behaves as a coherent whole.

Inspired by the great concert halls of Vienna, Peter studies the dynamics of live performance and translates them into loudspeakers that recreate that experience with convincing realism. The aim is natural tone, precise timing, and effortless scale in real rooms.

Signature technologies include the patented flat spidercone coaxial driver and meticulously built enclosures. The flat cone, formed from a composite of thermoplastic polymers and glass fibers, achieves an exceptional stiffness‑to‑mass ratio and self‑silencing behavior that suppresses breakup. A custom silk dome tweeter sits at the center of the driver, aligning acoustic centers for phase and timing accuracy across the vocal range and expanding the sweet spot into a wide, stable listening area.

From concept to cabinetry, Vienna Acoustics strives to eliminate distortion before it begins.
