Rega injection-molds it from stiff thermoset phenolic resin, then braces it inside with ceramic plates and cross bracing, which Rega says keeps unwanted resonances from interfering with the drive units. Inside are Rega's handmade MX-125 bass-mid driver, with a four-layer voice coil, and Rega's own ZRR tweeter. The port is on the back.
